Imitate a man: Cry, cry—it’s not a sin

Inspired by the recent resignations at Haiyou and among my colleagues in the team, I couldn’t wait to write something; I felt the urge to create a poem. “It’s not a crime for a man to dance” (inspired by “It’s not a crime for a man to cry”). When I had little experience, those around me said I shouldn’t change jobs. After I was promoted, I told myself that I shouldn’t act unethically. I kept hovering within certain boundaries, going through repeated cycles in my job. I slept day and night wearing a mask, completely exhausted. Even when I tried to help others, I was accused of showing off or trying to impress others. There was fair competition, but I didn’t know how to avoid rumors and hidden attacks. The invisible pressure made me very tired. I began to find social conventions difficult to handle, and gradually I started to abandon truth, becoming more and more hypocritical. It’s not a crime for a man to dance—it really isn’t. Even strong people need to maintain their true nature. If all there is behind a smile is slander, why endure such humiliation in life? It’s not a crime for a man to dance. Try experiencing some fresh air after being away from it for so long. Even when starting a business, one has to go through hardships.
