Theoretically, the liquid level has no relation to the amount of steam required, because when the amount of vaporization is the same, the heat needed is fixed, and thus the amount of steam required is also the same. However, the liquid level is affected by the effect of thermal siphoning; if the liquid level is low, the same siphoning phenomenon requires a greater amount of steam for vaporization, which in turn results in a longer processing time. Ultimately, it is the liquid level that directly causes the thermosiphon effect; essentially, this does not affect the amount of gas used.
