In the classification of pressure vessels, does diesel count as an explosive medium?
The flash points of 16 domestic diesel grades are mostly between 60 and 90°C (with only the “–35#” diesel having a flash point of 50°C). In other words, except for the 35# diesel, whose fire hazard classification is Category B, the remaining grades fall under Category C. Diesel is not listed in the Catalog of Hazardous Chemicals (2002 edition). Diesel is listed in GB12268-2005 \"List of Names of Dangerous Goods\", with the code 1202. According to GB18218-2009 \"Hazardous Chemicals – Major Hazard Sources\", diesel does not constitute a major hazard source for hazardous chemicals (except for 35# diesel). According to HG20660, diesel is not considered an explosive medium, but it is a flammable medium, just like liquid ammonia.
