The intertidal mountains in Qinghai are used for roasting raw ore, I guess.

Ha, let me tell you – as far as I know, the enterprises that use two-stage roasting for gold extraction with gold concentrate are operating normally. These include: 1) Shandong Guoda, which is formerly known as Zhaoyuan Gold Smelting Plant, with a capacity of 150 t/d. It seems to be shut down frequently due to a lack of raw materials; there’s no need to go through two stages of processing; 2. Qinghai Tanijian Dashaidan Mining, a Sino-foreign joint venture, designed with a capacity of 480 t/d; it was commissioned at the end of 2008 and has been in operation ever since ; 3. Fujian Jinshan Gold Smelting Company: 200 t/d capacity; it was commissioned in late March 2008 and has been in operation ever since, located in Jiaoyang, Shanghang ; If I don’t let you in to take a look, can you at least walk around the bowl? ; 4. Zhaojin Mining Xinjiang Xingta Mining Co., Ltd.: 100 t/d capacity for processing refractory gold concentrates containing arsenic. The plant was commissioned on March 18, 2008, and has been operating smoothly over the past three years, generating significant economic benefits; it is possible to visit the site ; 5. Zhongnan Gold Smelting Company, that is Hunan Gold Cave – it has a processing capacity of 200 tons per day. I haven’t gone to check how it’s performing; I heard that it hasn’t been working well all along ; 6. Shandong Hengbang – as we all know, it invested a lot of money in bringing in advanced technologies; it seems that the modifications were carried out domestically in the end. The company is now listed on the stock market, with a production capacity of 200 t/d. I’ve also heard that this company uses the direct firing process ; 7. Tongguan in Shaanxi – it’s the one owned by CICC; it’s part of the same large company as the Zhongyuan Gold Smelting Plant. It also has a capacity of 200 t/d. I don’t know if it’s already in operation; well, I’ve been too lazy to ask. It uses technology imported from abroad; I think it was designed by some company in Shenyang ; 8. The one in Qixia, Shandong is under construction and is scheduled to begin operations next year. The production capacity is 200 tons per day.
For the technology of capturing gold and silver without using thermal methods, are there any better approaches for difficult-to-treat gold concentrates, especially those containing arsenic, aside from two-stage combined roasting? However, for the several manufacturers currently in operation, the slag gold content is relatively high; it generally stays around 4 g/t on average, with some cases showing even higher values. At this current gold price, it’s too high. Just in terms of roasting, if the subsequent cyanidation process remains as it is, can two stages of roasting reduce the amount of gold in the slag to below 2 g/t for those difficult-to-treat gold concentrates that contain arsenic or have fine-grained gold particles? Bacterial oxidation, pressurization? ? ? ?
Shandong Hengbang takes the arsenic-containing gold concentrate, after which the resulting roasted ore is fed into a bottom-blown furnace where it is melted together with copper-containing materials to produce matte; this matte is then further processed into crude copper, which is finally electrolyzed. Finally, gold and silver are recovered from the anode slime.
At the Zhongjin plant in Tongguan, Shaanxi, two stages of roasting have been in operation since September 1st of this year, using material containing 2-3% arsenic; the raw material used is at a concentration of 50 g/t. The amount of residue generated is around 4 g per unit of output, and maintenance is required approximately every half month. The equipment is operating fairly steadily. A few days ago, the filters in the bag filter as well as the flue ducts became clogged, so the filters are being replaced and the flue ducts are being cleaned.
The preliminary design for Tongguan Zhongjin was carried out by the Swedish company Autotec, while the detailed design was done by Changchun Gold Design Institute. The arsenic packaging machines, instruments, and DCS systems were all supplied from Sweden; its level of automation is probably among the highest in China
