Can a screw pump do this?

The screw pump installed today doesn’t discharge fluid in the indicated direction; turn it around! Flip the motor over – there’s material now! However, the pump makes quite a lot of noise. When I contacted the manufacturer, they said it doesn’t matter whether it’s used as an inlet or outlet device, and that it’s okay to turn it upside down. But there are clear warnings on the screw pump stating that turning it upside down or running it without load is prohibited. I would like to ask experts: is this acceptable?
Screw pumps must not be operated in reverse; operating a positive-displacement pump in reverse can damage its pump body
Talk to the manufacturer – do they use a mechanical seal with a single spring or multiple small springs? If it’s a single spring, ask them to change its rotation direction! If it has multiple springs, it doesn’t matter! ! !

Dear poster, are the stator and rotor replaced together? If so, it’s possible that the manufacturer got the rotation direction wrong; all our single-screw pumps used for transporting water-coal slurry are equipped with packing seals.
