The condition for stopping water injection in hydrocracking is the refining temperature
OP, are you asking about stopping the water supply during shutdown? If water injection is stopped during shutdown, I believe it is possible to stop the hot hydrogen used for driving oil out as well; the reason for this is to prevent water from carrying away hydrogen sulfide, thereby reducing the hydrogen sulfide concentration in the system and preventing the sulfur-type catalyst from being reduced. I’m not sure if this idea is right or not
The purpose of injecting water is to wash away ammonium salts; if no ammonium salts are formed, then there is no need to inject water. 260 degrees is a conservative value.

If the parking is long-term, use recycled hydrogen to cool all reactors to 150 degrees; when the cracking temperature reaches 260 degrees, stop adding water. Drain as much cold high-pressure water as possible and minimize the amount of new hydrogen. . When the reactor inlet temperature is below 260 degrees, the reaction essentially stops, and no ammonia or hydrogen sulfide is produced; therefore, no ammonium salts precipitate in the high-exchange and high-pressure air cooling sections, so water injection is stopped.
I completely agree with what was said on the 2nd floor – it’s better to stop inflating the volume earlier!
