How should one deal with the urea humps that form on the scraper arms of the scraper machine located below the granulation tower? Are there any good solutions? Please share whether this problem occurs in your facilities and how you handle it.
Stop the evaporation process, and start evaporation again once the urine tank is full.

During regular inspections, pay more attention near the windscreen. Take advantage of opportunities for minor shutdowns for maintenance without affecting production, or check whether cleaning is needed before each shutdown. I haven’t dealt with this in my own class; I really can’t think of a good solution!
Is it a manufacturer from the south? There will be a large bulge during summer. Be extremely careful when entering the tower to clean that bulge – if urine clumps fall from the top or walls of the tower, it can cause injuries. There are ways to prevent the formation of such bulges or to reduce their size: the load should not be too high, the temperature of the urea particles should not be too high, the rotation speed of the nozzles should not be too low, and the nozzles should not produce a too thin liquid stream. The nozzles should not be filled with liquid to the brim, and their rotation speed needs to be adjusted properly.

When the peak is too high and affects the operation of the scraper, initiate evaporation in a circulating mode, focus efforts on quickly clearing the peak before restarting evaporation. Another method used to control the buildup is to install a wire scraper about four to five centimeters above the scraper in order to remove the accumulated urea. However, it is necessary to consider the strength of the wire to prevent it from being broken by the urea that accumulates on it.

The main reasons for the formation of humps are: 1. Insufficient ventilation in the granulation tower, resulting in high temperatures of the urea particles; 2. High moisture content in the urea; 3. Possible leaks or seepage at the top of the granulation tower; 4. Long cleaning times of the nozzles during circulation, causing a large amount of water to fall on the scraper, which leads to crystallization during subsequent granulation; 5. Defects in the granulation nozzles, resulting in oversized urea particles. Solutions: 1. Modify the louvers of the granulation tower to increase ventilation and ensure that rainwater does not enter during rainy days. 2. Control the moisture content of the finished product; it should not be too high. 3. Fix the areas where water is leaking. 4. When stopping granulation, do not purge the nozzle for more than 3 minutes. 5. Choose an appropriate nozzle; use a nozzle with a small orifice to reduce the particle diameter and prevent large particles from resulting in slow solidification.
