How to solve the leakage problem at the flange at the start of an FRP pipe

Our flue gas desulfurization system uses FRP pipes, and we’ve found that leakage is quite severe at the flanges. Even after replacing them with 5MM thick gaskets, some leakage points still remain. If the bolts are too tight, the flanges crack; if they’re not tight enough, there’s still leakage. It seems difficult to resolve this issue. Is there a more reasonable solution without having to replace the pipes?
Try using a flexible graphite composite gasket.
