The SIS for our plant’s sulfur production unit is a S7-400 system (with a CPU model of 412-1). To enable centralized operation, it is necessary to transfer the local auxiliary control panels connected to the S7-400 to the remote operation room. How can this be achieved? What additional peripherals are needed?
What is a local auxiliary console? ! Buttons, touchscreens, or computers? ! Without changing the operation mode, there is no need to add new equipment; in my opinion, it’s simply a matter of extending the cables, with attention being paid to the length requirements for special communication cables. If it is an old device and there are no corresponding drawings, it is recommended to draw one first. Get the wire numbers right; the rest are just construction details.

For the entire material plan, submit the cables at the designated points and move them directly
Since using the local control panel isn’t an option, it’s better to add a new control station; however, some configuration is required
