For vertical heat exchangers, suspended supports (ear-type supports) are used to fix them to the second-floor floor; how should the holes in the floor be prepared? Too small; the earpiece or tube end cannot pass through, making installation impossible ； It’s too large; the length of the ear seat is not sufficient, so it cannot be placed at the edge of the pre-made hole. How to solve this problem?
Reply 1# gcww: If the ear mounts are arranged evenly in four positions, square holes can be prepared, with their side lengths determined by the dimensions required to accommodate those ear mounts. By rotating the pipe ends to align with the diagonals of these square holes, it is possible to pass the pipe ends of the heat exchanger through the floor slab. Once that is done, the heat exchanger can be rotated into its intended installation position.
