I have a question for those who use Aspen: when using Aspen to determine the physical properties of ammonia mixtures, especially properties such as enthalpy and specific heat, which property calculation method is relatively more accurate? ELECNRTL or RK-SOAVE or other methods?

I’m not sure if there are any alternatives that can provide more accurate properties for ammonia solutions. .

Reply 3# yulei1987: PITZER is a model for the electrolyte activity coefficient based on aqueous solutions, and it can accurately calculate the properties of aqueous electrolyte solutions with ion concentrations below 6 molar strength. I’m not sure if your ammonia concentration exceeds 6M; you can try using this property-based method to check........

Do you have data on the density of ammonia? And you can compare that specific heat data with the values in the manual; you’ll find some differences
