I’m new to the hydrogen refining workshop; it seems quite dangerous. Could the seniors tell me what things I should pay attention to at work?
Hydrogenation? It just means turning on the equipment. As long as the equipment works fine, everything is okay. The focus of inspections is the equipment.
Hydrogenation workshop: the explosion limit of hydrogen is 4–74%, it is colorless and odorless； Be careful when the hydrogen sulfide concentration reaches 10 ppm; this is the critical limit. High pressure, high temperature; flammable and explosive. During work, pay attention to inspecting high-risk areas and those that experience severe vibration (often use instruments to check the area around the circulating hydrogen compressors; even seemingly unimportant instrument connections can leak, posing a serious risk). Hydrogen-handling equipment is primarily designed to prevent the hazards caused by hydrogen corrosion and hydrogen leaks. Avoid overheating, overpressure, and impact; ensure proper monitoring and protection measures are in place.
