I currently have an eja110a differential pressure transmitter, but I need to use a pressure transmitter. Can it be used instead? I recall that Rosemount transmitters can be used; thank you!
Differential pressure transmitters generally have a relatively small range, of several tens of kilopascals; a few hundred kilopascals is about the maximum; The diaphragm box is soft, and its maximum pressure rating is low; it should work fine as long as the pressure isn’t too high ; It is necessary to check the maximum pressure value being measured as well as the usual range of values; if the difference is too large, it will not work properly, as it can easily damage the diaphragm box ;
It can of course be used if the range and static pressure requirements are met; The negative pressure side is connected to the atmosphere.

It is acceptable within the maximum measurement range of the differential pressure; such pressures are very low. Using a differential voltage in a transmitter is still essentially differential voltage; only the negative pressure side is at atmospheric pressure. If the pressure difference is too large, it can damage the transmitter!
Generally, 6.4 MPa serves as the dividing point. The following are transmitters that select 2 pressure tapping ports, while the above are those that select 1 pressure tapping port

If the pressure of the medium being measured does not exceed the maximum value that can be set by the differential pressure transmitter, then it is fine; simply expose the negative pressure chamber to the atmosphere.
Pressure transmitters cannot be used to measure flow rate; they can, however, be used to measure the liquid level in open containers.
