The outlet pipe can have a few more bends, which helps to absorb the deformation caused by settlement; as long as the stress levels are acceptable. Metal hoses present significant risks, so a spring bracket can also be omitted.
It makes sense in theory, but it doesn’t comply with chlorine safety regulations!
