Our company is a gold smelting enterprise. After roasting, the gold concentrate is quenched in water, then neutralized with alkali before undergoing cyanidation processes. Normally, the water used for quenching does not contain gold, but from time to time we find that it does contain gold, at a concentration of 0.2 grams per ton. What could be the reason for this? What elements are present in the minerals that cause this phenomenon?
