When using a TDS meter to determine the total dissolved solids content in water, the reading is always 5PPM. The conductivity on the online instrument keeps rising, albeit by a small amount; why doesn’t the reading change when using the meter? What is the problem?
This may involve issues related to the measurement ranges of different instruments; in other words, one is more sensitive while the other is relatively less sensitive
Reply to 1# fxswl: “The conductivity on the online meter keeps rising, though the increase is not significant.” Clearly, there is a problem with the conductivity value online, and cleaning and calibration are required. The units that can be measured using TDS can be converted to conductivity for comparison.
