There is a steel pipe used to transport 8 bar of air. I would like to know how rust is prevented inside the pipe Is Spray Red Dan reliable?
Don’t tell me your compressed air pipes are still made of carbon steel?
If the compressed air is dry, there is no need for anti-corrosion measures inside the pipe; carbon steel is sufficient for this purpose. If instrument air is required, then 304 stainless steel should be used instead.
It’s rusted inside; it must contain moisture, or it has been in contact with outside air (which contains moisture). Change material. Red lead is just a pigment; it has no preservative effect when used alone.
Galvanized pipes can be used~~ If corrosion protection is not necessary, there’s no need for it; just add a moisture filter
Moisture is inevitable in compressed air; it is recommended to use smoother pipe materials, otherwise, internal anti-corrosion measures alone are likely not sufficient to solve the problem.
