First, rinse thoroughly with fire water, and use a slurry pump to remove the sediment. Wear the air respirator only after the sampling analysis shows it is qualified. High-pressure water is used for flushing, continuously stirring the water in the tank, and a pump is employed to draw out some of the solids present in the tank; those that cannot be removed by the pump must be cleaned up manually. Before entering the tank, it is necessary to obtain a permit for working in confined spaces, and all appropriate safety and emergency measures must be put in place.
