I recently joined a design institute and have just worked on a project with my mentor. Now he wants me to learn how to submit requirements to various departments; how should I do this for the control department?
Ask your master; this definitely needs to be taught properly!!
In the design institute, conditions should be provided for the instrumentation department, as control is part of that department. There are many requirements for the instrumentation team; for example, the process parameters of various instruments need to be provided to them, as well as information on the forward and reverse action of valves, and details regarding complex/special control circuits. For more specifics, you can refer to the relevant standards – I believe there are also standards applicable in chemical engineering design.
