I have several rows of pipes here, and each pipe is equipped with a pneumatic on/off valve. These valves may need to be maintained from time to time, but I don’t want to create another platform for that purpose; instead, I’d like to have a ladder so that I can climb up to the pipes for maintenance. The pipes carry gas or liquid under normal temperature and pressure conditions. Are there any regulations specifying at what height such pipes require a platform? I see that some guidelines state that work at heights is applicable when the height exceeds 2 meters; so if it’s less than 2 meters, do I not need to use a platform and can I go up directly for maintenance?
Personally, I think a platform should still be added.
If you are not very tall, it’s not necessary to use a platform; that’s what I did in the foreign projects I worked on earlier. For those who are taller, a ladder platform is used, while for those who are not, just a ladder suffices.

Reply to 4# guowei331: What I mean is that if the standards for working at heights are met, then a platform needs to be added; otherwise, no platform will be added. Generally, 2 meters is also used for the bar. So, for work at heights, a platform is required; otherwise, the approval will not be granted.
In LZ’s case, there’s no need to do that; just building a ladder will solve the problem
