After simulating the operation of the heat exchanger, it was indicated that INLET BAFFLE SPACING MUST BE 0.2*MID-BFL-SP < LBI < 5.0*MID-BFL-SP. What is the issue here?
The spacing of the baffle plates is set incorrectly.
When designing heat exchangers using HTFS+, you can refer to the standards for various heat exchangers outlined in chemical equipment manuals to make your design choices. The typical distances between baffle plates are 100, 150, 200, 300, 450, 600, 800, 1000 mm ； The spacing between baffle plates should be at least one-fifth of the inner diameter; the maximum value is determined by the required maximum spacing from the support pipes, and it is specified that this value must not exceed the inner diameter.
