I’m a beginner. What are the common control interlocks in atmospheric and vacuum distillation units?
It mainly involves the flue and air system of the heating furnace, the gas pressure section, as well as the vacuum pumping system; the gas emission section is equipped with interlock protection.
Our old units don’t have any interlocks, but interlocks could be considered for the flue dampers of the heating furnace and the furnace pressure, as well as for the gas pressure.
New installations generally come equipped with an air preheating system, interlocks for blowers and exhaust fans, as well as interlocks for gas and fuel oil；
