We have two sets of polypropylene production units; one set uses equipment made by foreign manufacturers, while the other set uses domestically produced equipment. The Propylene feeding pumps in these two sets differ significantly in terms of their operation noise – the pump in one set operates normally, but the pump in the other set makes extremely loud noises that are unbearable even for people standing nearby. The outlet pressure of both pumps is 4.3 megapascals. The technician said that it’s due to issues with the internal components of the domestically produced pumps; could someone explain the possible reasons for this?
It is likely a problem with the gear machining precision of the speed increase gearbox. Beijing Aerospace Institute No. 11 has quite good quality.
The sound of a gearbox shouldn’t be like a roar; if there is a problem with a high-speed gearbox, the sound produced should be rather sharp. Is it caused by cavitation in the pump body?
