Energy conservation and consumption reduction

Our company’s headquarters says that our branch is wasting too much raw material, specifically methanol, and has asked us to reduce energy consumption. We are working on lowering the reflux rate, from 0.55 to 0.48. Our production capacity for dimethyl ether is 100,000 tons; please share any suggestions you might have.
It seems that you should start by addressing the areas where methanol is lost easily; reducing the reflux ratio should help decrease the steam consumption in the distillation tower.
