Many instruments use gases, and some of these gases are stored in Dewar flasks as liquid gases; to convert the liquid form into a gas, a vaporizer is required; Questions: 1. What is the function of a carburetor? Why can’t a Dewar flask be connected directly to a gas pipeline? 2. To design a nitrogen supply system with a flow rate of 100 Nm3/h, what specifications are required for the vaporizer?
I’m not familiar with your industry, but in the process of synthesizing polyethylene from ethylene, we installed a steam vaporizer for the pre-treatment of the sample before analysis using chromatography. The reason for this is that the process fluid contains many olefinic compounds, including C5 and C6 components, which are in liquid state at room temperature. However, when using a chromatograph to detect a total of 12 different components, both gaseous and liquid ones, it’s necessary to use a steam vaporizer to heat these C5 and C6 components to around 90 degrees Celsius so that they can be vaporized and then analyzed by the chromatograph. If liquefied gas contains methanol, to obtain accurate results it is necessary to take a sample in its liquid state, allow it to enter the vaporization chamber where it vaporizes, and then pass the vapor through a chromatography column for separation. Sampling using traditional gas cylinders or aluminum foil bags will not yield representative results. Of course, if it can be confirmed that the liquefied gas does not contain methanol or significant amounts of components with more than 5 carbon atoms, then taking a sample from the pipeline in liquid form, allowing it to vaporize in a gas bag, will still give satisfactory results

If a Dewar flask is connected directly to the gas pipeline, the medium that comes out of the flask is not necessarily what you need.
