I would like to ask the experts about the maintenance and inspection cycles for valves – is there any basis for determining these cycles? \"Procedures for the Maintenance and Repair of Petrochemical Equipment_Volume 1_General Equipment\" (2004 edition), Chapter 30: Procedures for the Maintenance and Repair of Valves, Page 608: 2.1 Maintenance cycle: 2.1.1 The maintenance cycle for valves shall be determined by each enterprise based on the characteristics of the production facility, the properties of the medium, the rate of corrosion, and the operating cycle. Is there any basis for establishing this cycle? I couldn’t find it in any standard manuals; I’m very grateful! If so, please advise on the basis for various valves.
There is generally no fixed schedule for valve maintenance; valves that have problems and cannot be fixed on a regular basis are inspected or replaced collectively during shutdown periods. For special valves, it is necessary to check whether their seals are in good condition at the end of each maintenance cycle.
