The valves in the catalyst tank pressure control line at the bottom of the triple spinner in our facility need to be replaced frequently; in severe cases, they wear out within less than a week of use. There’s no perfect solution; it mainly relies on someone being on site to monitor things, and shutting off the valve as soon as it’s emptied can reduce wear and extend the valve’s service life.
Raise the valve rating; when changing the catalyst, do not open the valve too wide, and ensure the air supply is appropriate.
I think it’s mainly a problem with the valve material; the valves in our company have been in use for two years without any issues

There’s an issue with the selection; what is the hardness of the medium? The hardness of the ball and seat in our hard-sealed ball valves can reach 70. The valves designed specifically for coal chemical applications to prevent the accumulation of ash and slag have not encountered the problems you’re mentioning. During ash discharge, it must not be done under pressure; the discharge should be in a dense phase. The valves need to have backflow ventilation to ensure that no catalyst remains in the valve passages. We use stainless steel valves with cemented carbide sealing surfaces, dual-valve design, DN150, which last for two years

It’s the Shanghai Yongyi one; we use it here. You can switch to 316L material, and a dual-valve system should be used; the valve used for transporting catalyst must have a purge function. Ball valves are not recommended, as the wide sealing surfaces of ball valves prevent them from being properly closed or opened when catalyst is present. All the valves in our installations were originally designed as ball valves, but they were later replaced with gate valves equipped with purge holes
