What is the difference between 16MnDR, 16MnR, and 16Mn? What are the usage conditions?
The execution standards differ, as do the temperature and pressure conditions under which they are used. Information on 16MnVR is limited; all that is known is that there is 15MnVR, a steel plate specified for pressure vessels in GB6654-1996, as well as 16MnDR, another steel plate for pressure vessels under the same standard. There is also 16Mn, a seamless steel tube used for high-pressure fertilizer equipment as per GB6479-2000
R stands for container, V stands for vanadium, and D stands for low temperature. Any material marked with R is intended for use in containers and must be made of killed steel; materials without R are not allowed to be used. Their main difference lies in the differences in chemical composition (strict requirements for impurities, especially S and P)
