Recently, the oil drainage system of the syngas compressor’s sludge collector has been experiencing problems. This sludge collector relies on a level-controlled two-position valve for oil drainage. Currently, there is a significant increase in the amount of oil returning to the system; this indicates that the compressor uses a floating ring seal, and it is the high-pressure side of the compressor where the amount of oil returning is increased. Moreover, the oil supply valve in the upper oil reservoir operates at a higher degree than before – by about 7 or 8 degrees. This increased oil supply leads to a significant rise in the pressure difference across the filters for both lubricating oil and seal oil. However, even after the oil spill collector, including the two valves, had been repaired, the situation did not improve; subsequently, a bypass for those two valves was installed ; The high-pressure vent of the sludge oil collector was released as well; it was actually connected to the flare network ; Only then did the results show significant improvement, but the amount of oil returning was indeed high. This situation has occurred for the first time; what exactly is going on?
