I would like to ask, for new products in new projects, how should the planning be more reasonable, mainly in terms of public works, factory building construction and equipment investment? Should we reach the maximum production capacity at one time or should we first conduct pilot trials and then gradually increase production capacity?
This depends on the maturity of the new product technology. If it is a small-scale trial technology, pilot trials must be carried out in advance. If it is a pilot technology, small-scale industrial testing is required. If the industrial test has been completed, an industrial scale-up test needs to be carried out. At the same time, the next step of work is determined based on the specific situation of the new product.
First look at the maturity of the process, the strength of the technology development unit, and the commissioning status of similar projects. Personally think: As for public works, it is better to design them based on maximum production capacity. If upstream and downstream products are also considered, this public project will be considered later. It would be better to invest in workshops and equipment as a pilot plant. When the pilot tests and improvements meet the product requirements, the maximum design will be carried out.
