I would like to ask everyone: are there any pressure requirements for your combustion oil nozzles? At what pressure below a certain value can the combustion oil not be injected or will its effect be poor? What is the outlet pressure of the oil sealing pump? What grade are these pumps?
The maximum pressure in the regenerator is 0.2 MP. The amount of combustion oil sprayed here is generally controlled using a flow meter, and there is a pressure gauge in front of the valve on the wall of the regenerator. Generally, a pump outlet pressure of 0.5 MP is sufficient. Our fuel burning pump shares the same pump as the flushing oil pump for the differential pressure level gauge at the bottom of the fractionation tower; therefore, the pressure reading is high, reaching up to 1.5 MP. However, a manual valve is used in front of the control valve to limit the pressure to around 0.5 MP.
There is no requirement for pressure at the fuel combustion nozzle; flow control is what matters. We use diesel from the oil storage tank as the fuel for combustion, and the oil pump serves as the drive pump, which is a multi-stage pump. The pressure should not be too high either; our nozzles can get clogged sometimes. Raising the pressure excessively can easily cause the combustion oil to enter the steam used for protecting the nozzles. We turn off the steam for protection while increasing the pressure, and then turn the protection steam back on once the combustion oil flow is stopped
When the pressure in front of the nozzle is too low, won’t it be impossible to spray the entire bed layer? Causes local overheating?

Reply to 4# 276957697 Haha! No, the burn oil nozzles are designed to be symmetrical; they open symmetrically when burning oil. The catalyst in the regenerator is constantly fluidized, so the temperature difference isn’t very large. A reminder: do not spray combustion oil when removing the agent. If the temperature is low, spraying is necessary; first stop the removal of the agent, as failing to maintain fluidization can easily cause poorly burned diesel components to enter the catalyst tank
The combustion oil nozzle has no requirements regarding pressure; flow rate is controlled. When atomization is poor, local overheating and afterburning may occur.
A pressure of not less than 0.5 MPa is sufficient; too low a pressure makes it difficult to control the flow rate. Generally, the pressure gauge in front of the nozzle is checked, and adjustments are made based on the bed temperature. When it was first put into use, the operators communicated promptly with the control room staff to make adjustments gradually from a low level to a higher one.
Pressure: 0.5–0.6 MPa; no need for atomized steam – the effect is very good; it’s recommended to give it a try.
