The desulfurization unit uses electrostatic precipitators to remove tar from it, and these precipitators are washed intermittently with steam and water. The water used for washing contains a high level of tar; how should this be dealt with? It seems that biological methods are ineffective against tar.
If the tar content is high, a tar sedimentation tank can be built to recover the tar for sale; this not only reduces pollution but also generates profits.
If the content of coal tar in the wastewater is not sufficient for recovery, it can be discharged collectively into the company’s accident tank for treatment.
