There are several areas within HVAC; I’m not sure which one you’re interested in – heating, air conditioning, ventilation, dust removal, or gas systems. Also, dry engineering and practical learning are different concepts; it’s not enough to just read a few books. I think on-site experience is very important, and of course, it’s necessary to know the relevant standards. Wishing you success.
I saw the original poster’s post, which was exactly the opposite of mine. I studied HVAC, and after starting work I switched to thermal engineering. HVAC is much simpler compared to thermal engineering, but it covers a wide range of topics including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, gas systems, and refrigeration – something that cannot be understood just by reading one or two books. If you read books, you might consider looking at design manuals (for example, Lu Yaoqing’s \"Practical Handbook of Heating and Air Conditioning Design\" covers a wide range of topics). Don’t try to go straight to the codes, as you may not yet have a good understanding of the systems; reading the codes directly will only be confusing.
The thermal engineering major is quite good. I work in HVAC. Although the scope of my work is broad, the professional aspects involved are much simpler compared to those in thermal engineering; I’m currently transitioning toward working in the field of thermal engineering.
Is working in HVAC profitable? I’ve only been working there for less than half a year and I haven’t noticed anything special; I work at a thermal design firm
I’m in the field of thermal energy; it’s great to be involved in thermal energy. . I don’t know if HVAC is profitable. . The fields of thermal internal combustion engines and power control are both quite good~ Why switch to HVAC?
