I would like to ask the experts: what welding materials are commonly used when joining Q345R head assemblies, and is the strength obtained after normalizing process evaluation satisfactory?
This post was last edited by deus on 2010-9-9 10:31. According to JB/T4747, J507 should be chosen. Heat treatment should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of GB150 and JG/T4746. For heads that have been formed by cold processing, heat treatment to restore mechanical properties or to relieve stress is generally required. Please ask experts for feedback~

For Q345R welding, J507 electrodes are used, or H10Mn2 for submerged arc automatic welding – why is normalizing necessary? Even for normalizing, it can be ensured as long as the process is correct. Any questions?
For manual welding of Q345R material, use J507 electrodes with diameters of Φ3.2 and Φ4.0; for automatic welding, use H10Mn2 wire with a diameter of Φ4.0, along with HJ431 flux
Regarding the welding materials used for joining Q345R heads, as mentioned on the 5th floor, the process of thermally pressing together Q345R heads involves post-weld heat treatment at temperatures above the upper transition temperature; the test pieces used for process evaluation also undergo this process, and they should be qualified
