What is the approximate volume of circulating gas for an annual production of 100,000 tons of synthetic ammonia?
I’m not sure about 100,000; the gas flow rate for 300,000 is approximately 600,000 NM3/H

For 100,000 tons, the circulation rate is approximately 80 tons/h. But the synthesis pressure still needs to be considered. Gas composition.
Upstairs, what does 80 tons per hour mean? How was it calculated? I have a question.
This can be calculated through material balance. First, calculate the ammonia production per hour; then, by using the ammonia concentrations at the inlet and outlet of the synthesis tower along with the pressure, it is possible to estimate the volume of circulating gas

The calculated value for the circulation gas volume is ; 48360 Nm3/h, 11605 Nm3/tN H3. 100,000 tons of NH3 per year; assuming 310 production days per year, this amounts to 100,000/310×24 = 13.44 tons per hour. Based on these figures, the volume of recycle gas is 11,605×13.44 = 155,971 Nm3 per hour.
