A few days ago, I heard that a Texaco manufacturer has included the burner pressure difference in the shutdown interlock system; will this enable timely detection of situations where a single cylinder of the high-pressure slurry pump fails to operate, thereby preventing a shutdown that could compromise system safety? Sometimes, even in cases where a single cylinder is not functioning properly, the pressure difference at the burner is not reflected in a timely manner. May I ask what the pressure difference of the parking chain is?
Lingnan was designed in this way; it was the first to introduce a differential pressure interlock system to prevent misoperations or leaks in the coal slurry pipelines, which could lead to serious accidents. With this interlock in place, accidents similar to those that occurred at Nanhua can be avoided as well.
In our plant, problems such as gasket failure in slurry pumps, failure of a single cylinder to operate properly, or diaphragm rupture occur frequently. However, on many occasions, the pump was only stopped manually after thorough verification and reporting to the management, which can lead to delays or even accidents. I believe including the burner pressure difference in the shutdown interlock system could improve operational safety!

Based on Texaco’s current coal consumption rate: 85 cubic meters per hour. The burner pressure difference is around 0.7 MP. Under normal load operation, if the pressure difference is below 0.6, the temperatures of the dome and furnace walls will become too high. Solves the problems of large slag discharge and poor slag drainage. If we ignore the single cylinder, it means that there is a shortage of 27 cubic meters of slurry; what does the temperature in the gasifier mean in this context? So nowadays, a low differential pressure trip interlock is generally not installed.
