This post was last edited by fengdingwen on 2010-9-10 18:41. To everyone working in continuous reforming: how do you control the CO content in the reforming hydrogen? Our control methods include: 1. Controlling the water content in the crude oil. 2. Control the dew point of the coking air in the catalyst regeneration unit. Anything else? Please explain your control methods to keep the CO content in the reformed hydrogen low. Thank you

My system has never intended to use CO as a control parameter, and there have never been any issues with the CO level. The purity of H2, as well as levels of C1/C3, hydrogen sulfide, O2, N2, C5+, H2O, etc., in the circulating hydrogen serve primarily as criteria for assessing the operational condition of the equipment. My system does not receive water injection; the water content is generally around 20PPM, sometimes lower. As long as the water content remains within this range, it is used merely as one of the factors taken into account to adjust the balance of water and chlorine. If the water content increases, the purity of H2 should rise while the amount of recycled hydrogen should decrease; I really haven’t paid attention to the CO content issue.
