Defoamers, desulfurizers, corrosion inhibitors, ethanolamine, alkaline solutions, etc., are generally injected using pumps

Defoamers are effective in reducing the foam layer and minimizing the entrainment of coke powder. Demulsifiers prevent the mixing of oil and water and stop emulsions from containing oil; their effectiveness is average. Corrosion inhibitors that effectively slow down corrosion in the top of the distillation tower and on the outlet lines of the compressor. Anticoking agents slow down coking in the heating furnace tubes and improve product distribution; however, their effect is not significant and they are costly, so my unit has been shut down. Alkaline solution, used for deodorization in the cold coke deodorization system; its effectiveness is average.
