Can a DN350 stainless steel pipe with a 90° stamped elbow be welded directly to a tee? Are there any relevant regulations?
Reply to 1# kis_ing: Also, can pipe fittings such as stainless steel pressed elbows and tees be directly welded to plate-type flat welding flanges? Can a hole (sampling port) be made in the tee? I ask the experts to provide an answer.
Butt welding is possible, while fillet welding is not. Why put the sampling port on the tee? It’s fine to place it on the straight pipe section next to it
The problem is that the space is quite limited, and we don’t want straight pipe sections. That’s what led to so many questions above
If the pressure is not too high, sampling through a hole is possible
Reply to 5# zhuhonl: How much pressure is considered high? What are the relevant standards?
If there is not enough space, consider directly welding elbows and tees; fittings can be welded directly to weld flanges, but not to flat flanges~~
It’s possible, as long as the heat-affected zones do not overlap.
Tees and elbows can be welded directly, but attention should be paid to the distance between the two welds.
Welding is possible! But I’ve never seen a sampling port on a tee before! It is common to use one of the ports of a tee as the sampling port, and this is used in areas where pressure fluctuations are not significant!
