This post was last edited by jacob451 on 2010-9-13 05:35. We used a P+F KFD2-STC4-EX1.20 safety barrier (an AI safety barrier with one input and two outputs). The signals from the field are divided into two paths: one goes to the DCS and the other to the ESD. However, it is not possible to enable HART communication with Honeywell transmitters at the field site; one of the paths must be disconnected in order to use HART communication. We are looking for a solution that allows HART communication without having to disconnect the other path.
There are sometimes issues with Honeywell’s communication with third parties; I’ve heard about that as well. I’m not sure exactly what to do
