The price they pay for 25# transformer oil is 8,400 yuan per ton (including taxes), but it is calculated at 13,000 yuan per ton, on the grounds that new transformer oil must be filtered before it can be filled into the transformers, and there are losses and labor costs associated with this process, amounting to about 5,000 yuan per ton. New oil does not need to be filtered; if the test results show it matches the specifications in the certificate, it can be added directly
After the new oil arrives, it is necessary to check the manufacturer’s inspection report to see whether it meets the requirements and whether the inspection date has expired. If you’re not confident, you can test it again. If the data is qualified, there is no need to filter again. But it is best to use a vacuum oil filter for refilling to prevent too much air from entering the transformer.
