During a renovation project, I came across a process that involved two-stage drying towers plus a separate demisting tower. I would like to ask those who are more experienced: what is the structure of this separate demisting tower? Principle of defogging? What is the voltage drop approximately?
In some cases, for example, if a wire mesh mist eliminator (an older type of device) was originally installed in the tower, there isn’t enough space when switching to a fiber mist eliminator. Therefore, a separate container will be added downstream to install the demister.
The structure can be imagined as an upper air chamber + ceiling plate + lower air chamber + defogging element + housing. Glass fiber, molecular Brownian motion, retention. The pressure drop can be controlled by selecting an appropriate area for calculation.
