It depends on what hydrogen chloride pressure you need What is it used for? Generally, the hydrogen chloride pressure is 0.2–0.3 MPa, and the temperature at the bottom of the tower is around 160 degrees. A steam pressure of around 0.8–1.0 MPa is sufficient.
I’m using this hydrogen chloride for a dehydrogenation compressor; so what is the exact outlet pressure required? Send it to the compressor manufacturer for design
When it comes to compressors, there are no specific requirements regarding pressure; any pressure level that can be generated can be transmitted, with even several tens of kilopascals being acceptable.
Reply to 4# lichsh1985: Is multi-stage cooling to room temperature required? Will the hydrogen chloride compressor not be able to operate properly at high temperatures? Do you have experience in this area?
Reply to 5# baoliang311: Under normal circumstances, compressors have certain requirements regarding the temperature of the inlet gas in order to utilize the compression process. However, the main purpose of cooling hydrogen chloride gas before it enters the compressor, as I have seen, is to remove water from the hydrogen chloride; in some cases, water at -35°C is used directly for this cooling and dehydration process.
