Please share your views on the key aspects of managing rising-film evaporators and falling-film evaporators. I’ll start first. In my opinion, the most important aspect in managing rising-film evaporators is adjusting the temperature due to changes in preheating temperature and load, while also taking pressure into account to achieve balance. Both falling-film and thin-film evaporators can be heated using heat transfer oil
I think the choice of heating medium depends on the properties of the material; the appropriate heat source is selected based on the required temperature
If the heat transfer oil flows in the shell side, the flow velocity is very low – is it prone to coking?
