The length of the stirring shaft determines the range of shaft diameters; what is this range? Is this related to the materials?
Hehe, this question isn’t related to the engineering field. The process engineering team selects the required rotation speed and impeller type based on the properties of the fluid to be stirred, and calculates the shaft power and total power of the stirrer. The rest can be left to the equipment engineer or the manufacturer. Or simply provide the process parameters and hand them over to the manufacturer for design.
The process calculates the power and torque, and then materials and dimensions are selected based on process requirements and material mechanics.
Generally, the required power and shaft torque are calculated based on the physical properties of the fluid being stirred and the process parameters, after which the materials and dimensions are selected.
There is not much inherent connection between the shaft length and the shaft diameter. Determine the mixing scheme based on the user’s material and other process conditions, and then calculate the shaft diameter. The shaft length is primarily determined by your on-site installation conditions, factory processing conditions, etc.
