What is the relationship between the maximum differential pressure of a V-cone flow meter and the operating pressure? Is it necessary for the operating pressure to be higher than the maximum differential pressure value during normal production? My current operating pressure is 3.5–5 KPa, while the maximum differential pressure value is 16 KPa. The maintenance technician said that the flow meter is faulty, but it was manufactured based on the data provided by the design institute; so it should be fine, right?
For differential pressure flowmeters, the operating pressure does not need to be absolutely higher than the differential pressure value. Because the throttling device creates a differential pressure artificially.

I think it’s abnormal: One of the advantages of the V-shaped cone is its low pressure drop; since it’s this high now, it’s necessary to verify this with the design team again to avoid mistakes…… Designs can also make errors sometimes
Check the process parameters and confirm with the design institute; there may be an issue with the selection of instruments.
