I don’t know which pump can adjust the flow of water in the pipeline, a variable speed pump, a centrifugal pump, a peristaltic pump or other pumps? Centrifugal pumps regulate flow through an outlet valve. Positive displacement pumps regulate flow by changing rotational speed.
If you want to adjust the flow rate, it is better to use a positive displacement pump. It is generally more troublesome to use a centrifugal pump, as you have to connect the pipe from the outlet back to the pump inlet.
All types of pumps are adjustable, just in different ways
If you directly use a screw pump or a rotor pump, and then use a frequency converter to control the motor speed, you can almost control the desired flow rate. Select the mass flow rate (Coriolis) for the flow rate, and select the proportional control valve for the valve. The key is to select the correct Cv or Kv value.

A variable frequency pump can change the speed of the pump and adjust the flow rate. Just install a variable frequency motor on the pump. There is a special mass flow meter that can directly measure the mass flow of the fluid.
