How should a wastewater treatment system without oil removal facilities handle oily wastewater – the simplest, most convenient, and easiest-to-operate method?
Oils can exist in water in various forms, such as floating oil, dissolved oil, and emulsified oil. Different types of oils require different treatment methods. Absorbent paper is effective at removing the floating oil on the surface, but when the oil concentration is high, a large amount of absorbent paper is needed
As mentioned above, there are various types of oily wastewater; if their density is high, coagulation and sedimentation can be used, while if the density is low, air flotation is typically employed
It is closely related to oil content and oil type; oils with a high floating oil content can be separated by gravity or centrifugation, and the contaminated oil can also be recovered； Use air flotation to remove the small amount ； If using emulsified oil, demulsification also needs to be considered ； Dissolving oil is more troublesome; a combination of biochemical and physical-chemical methods is a safer approach.
