Desulfurization regeneration issues?

I am working on the design for desulfurization regeneration, and I would like to ask for some advice. In terms of the regeneration process, we generally choose a residence time of 15–20 minutes. The main issue lies in the selection of the regeneration tank; since we already have old regeneration tanks, I want to make use of them. I wonder whether, as long as the total residence time remains the same, there will be no difference in the effectiveness What is the difference between using a few and using one? Could you provide some comparisons or references?
Your design should take into account not only the residence time but also the blowing intensity. It is essential to consider whether the suction capacity of the injector is sufficient and whether the cross-sectional area of the regeneration tank is appropriate.
