Why can’t the catalyst in the dense-phase section of the regenerator settle and flow properly? What method can be used to solve it? Thank you!
Poor fluidization is mainly due to issues with your piping and an uneven local density distribution; adjusting the fluidization medium will help improve the situation
The counter-regenerative reactor is a single unit, and its fluidized state as a whole is not in equilibrium; it is therefore not possible to determine which aspect should be adjusted alone.
It is possible that the cyclone is not functioning properly, resulting in excessive loss of catalyst fine powder; this prevents proper fluidization of the catalyst and hinders its normal circulation. One year, we encountered the same problem; it turned out that the particle size distribution of the catalyst was poor, with too little fine powder, which made fluidization difficult. Only by adding a large amount of three-spin fine powder to the regenerator did the situation improve.
